T.G.I.F

Happy Friday everyone!! (At least I hope it's a happy one for you... though I've had some disappointing things happen this week myself, which makes the "happy" part a bit challenging. But hey I'm trying)

I don't really have much to report, I just wanted to check in. Tell you I'm thinking about all of you, and can't wait for Finding Keith to be available. It's currently being edited so I just have to sit back and wait for it. I still don't have a definite date but it will be an August release. You can check out what I've been posting on facebook this past week.(They are just little teasers from the book:)

Then of course there is the little thing I made up of some oneliners in my book :

So there you have it....

Zombies. Hot guys. Romance. Nonstop action. Friendship. And one faithful pitbull!

Are you excited or what? I know I am! 10 months of my life is into this book... that's crazy to think about. I'm nervous though. Being I am going to self-publish this title. So far those reading it for me have loved it, but I am getting a few more readers opinions too before I hit the publish button.

And for any one that is curious about my Gram... she's holding on, she's a fighter. But this week has just been tough and seeing her getting hurt, and passing out and all that, is just hard on the heart. Writing has been a challenge lately because my mind is all over the place, but I'll get to it. In the meantime I have been reading like I said I was going to do.
So far I've read 6 books :)
And I've enjoyed all of them.
I am in awe of writers and there amazing talent.

Happy Fourth of July!!!

Just wanted to wish every one a Happy 4th of July! Hope you have a fun, safe night and get to see some fireworks. (If that's your thing.)
I am currently back "Home" in my hometown, staring out the window at the beautiful Pennsylvanian mountains. The weather is gorgeous, the sky is blue with just a touch of bright white clouds, and the country fields are filled with swaying pink and yellow wild flowers and an abundance of clover flowers.
I love it here.
I'm mostly looking forward to my family reunion this weekend, and seeing my Gram. Even battling cancer, she is still the strongest most positive person I ever met. I know my time with her is dwindling down, as we can't control life, but I am very blessed to still have her in my life and to be able to spend this week with her.
You will not hear much from me for the next few days, as I want to make sure I spend as much time as I can with her since I am not sure when I will be back this way again. Lately, the trips between get longer and longer apart.

I assure you all though that I am working on Finding Keith edits, and that I am getting a few more readers' opinions this weekend. I am so super excited to share this book with all of you, and thinking up some good giveaway ideas that I plan to do in the upcoming weeks.
On the car ride up, I actually came up with my next book idea (Like I need more ideas right now lol) but I think you will all be pleased. I can't wait to start outlining. Hopefully it turns into something.

Take care.
xoxo

Books I want to read...

Okay, first I want to say I love to write. Obviously. But writing has its drawbacks. For instance, I love to read too. But I don't get a chance to read when I'm busy writing my own work. Sure once and a while I can squeeze a book in, but usually most my time is divided between my full time "real" job, my job as a housewife, and my writing. Plus, I got to make sure I spend time with my pups, plus spend time with the family. So since I haven't figured out how to make more hours in the day yet, I currently have to put my other joys to the side. Hence, reading.
Yet, I have this terrible habit of buying books all the time. Books I want to read....just can't seem to get to. So my new book shelf is almost completely full already and my kindle list just keeps growing. I've decided I really need to do something about that. I know for a fact, I won't stop buying books so that means I have to start reading at least some of them.
Which means....I have to take a pause on my writing. I will still be working on my book with my brother-in-law, but my other stories are going to be chilling on the back burner for a bit longer. I'm okay with that. Edits are continuing on my newest YA too, so while I'm waiting on that, I'm going to take that "mini vaca" and catch up on some sun and good reads.

Here is my current list of books unread:

There are so many more titles I want to buy, but I have to go through some of these first and as you can see, there's a good list going.
Have any of you read any of these books? Which was your favorite? I have no clue what I'm going to read first. But I did just finish reading two books this week:

In My Face-  Chamera Sampson
Harvest of the Heart- Julie Anne Lindsey

But of course, they were both bought this week on my kindle so that didn't put any dents in my already purchased books.
Sigh. lol.

But don't worry, I'm only taking a "mini break" from my writing, and really it's not much of a break anyway, because I will still be doing some final stuff on my book coming on soon, and my book with my brother-in-law, so I am still working.
Honest.
